I have a Krups handblender and I use it very often. I use it for my frozen
coffee drinks, smoothies, and for pureeing soups right in the pot. I've also
used it in nonstick pots and the coating doesn't come off. I have used it to
make baby food (when Trev was very little) but I've never used it to make
salsa. I'm sure if you did it in small bursts that it wouldn't puree stuff.

Mine doesn't have an extra container like a food processor though. It is
just the stick blender. I love mine and use it almost every day.
