Absolutely. I've had chili without beans, etc. To me, it was gross. But that 
is just me. I'm sure someone has a fantastic recipe that has no beans, etc. 
in the chili, I just haven't seen it yet. It really is a personal taste 
thing tho. Go with what you want.

Ugh! I am Texan as can be, and whoever said that about Texas chili is a liar 
and doesn't know nuttin about Texas!(IMHO of course)

I couldn't agree more. Yeah, I am partial to my homeland, but I have also 
tasted many fantastic dishes that have nothing to do with Texas except that 
it has been eaten by some.
