Hi Jim Abby and All.

The postman has just delivered my autographed "Open Fields 2001" poster. It
looks great on my bedroom wall.
OK Jim I know that you were getting a little worried at the time it was
taking to get here. When you think that it took the early British settlers
over two years to get here. (It took me six weeks on a liner). From the 18th
October until our shortest day of 21st December . Not too bad :-)

Well worth the wait and my thanks to all who signed it. Getting ready to
cook Christmas dinner for daughter and family who are coming to dinner Xmas
day. Not allowed to make it hot for them so will just have to manage with
powder and sauces from the collection for me.

A bit late in the season, but I have a few plants growing which should fruit
before winter, including some Siberian Indoor.
The Rocotos from last year are looking great. Covered with flowers and small
fruit. They will probably keep me in fresh chiles all next winter.

Again thanks and best wishes to all on the list. Merry Christmas to all and
"May the wind be at your back and the road rise up to meet you"
