I had to put my $.02 in here because I have a slightly different take on
non-stick pans.

I always buy the cheapest ones available, because I consider them
disposables. The non-stick coating only lasts a couple of years at the
most, and when the pans become virtually useless, I go spend another $7.95
or so on a new one. (Actually, I found some at Ikea last week that were 2
for $6.95!)

And I love using them.

This viewpoint is directly at odds with that of my usual eco-nazi persona,
but hey, consistency is the last resort of the unimaginative mind....
