Ja, Carlinville is my county seat. Not one of the round Old Fashioned
half-gallons. This came in a half-gallon box. I got it at a
family-owned grocery here in town, Meehan's. I think they have a
couple more stores in the area, like Roodhouse and elsewhere I can't
recall at the moment.

So true, Great American Outback. My walkabout consists of wandering
the bi-state area looking for exotic edibles and fine art outlets.
I've got vacation coming up next week. Can you recommend anything new
up your way? I have a chilehead friend who lives there, but he's been
busy building and trimming out his new house and hasn't bothered
searching the sprawl of Springfield. Any new Asian or African
places? My last good dinner was either at Pho Grand (killer spring
rolls and iced coffee) in STL or the Ethiopian place in U-City, Red
Lion. It's been too long!
