Hi all,
The 'guy in South Africa' isn't the only SA CH by a long stretch, although
he is further south in The Wilderness than I am in Johannesburg. There are
several more of us who admittedly lurk most of the time. We're just coming
out of a nasty Winter although this weekend was warm enough for me to start
thinking about planting my seeds. Now which seeds are going to see the light
of day this year? Decisions, decisions... My overwintered Rocotos have
survived really well in an unheated sun porch despite overnight temps down
below zero on several occasions - they are definitely the best variety for
growing in pots and overwintering in my experience. I bought some yellow
Rocoto seeds from Dave at Tough Love a little earlier this year and am
looking forward to comparing them to my red ones.
PS - Don't forget Tony Flynn, the 'Retired Granddad at The Bay of Plenty' in
New Zealand - that's South of Australia and SA!

Cheers
Sue in Sunny South Africa
