Hello All - In the past, I have made chile oil by cutting up dried chiles and heating them with a mild vegetable oil. I'm still thinking of things to do with the rest of the Tabasco Mash we brought back from NO. So, I decided to make a batch of chile oil with that. 2 cups vegetable oil, 1 cup Tabasco Mash. Sure smells good -- needed a sinus cleaning anyways! From the initial results, the vinager taste does not transfer to the oil. I'm thinking of using it in salsas etc. Tastes pretty good hot, once it cools off it may be different... What do you think?? Helen
