I grew Hot Portugals a few years ago: they're a large, full-flavored
cayenne-type, fairly prolific, and hot but not deadly. I found them very
tasty and easy to grow.

BTW, I've started some of my peppers already. I've decided this year, rather
than growing a large variety of unknowns, to concentrate on the peppers I've
found most useful.

So I'm growing:

Fresno
Fatalii
(and one overwintered red Fatalii)
NuMex Sunset
Santaka
Early Jalapeno
Serrano Tampiqueno
Peperoncini

...and

Chimayo
Espanola
a few other NuMex varieties

as soon as I get them (thanks, Dave!)

Cheers,
Alex
