Timely subject for me. Bought a can of "Embasa" chipotle in adobo sauce (a product of Mexico) yesterday morning to use in a shrimp burrito mix. Haven't tried it yet. Will look for the "Bufalo" brand next time I go to town. Price Chopper or Hen House will probably carry it.
I have plenty of frozen pods that I could smoke, but since never have purchased chipotles wouldn't know if the homesmoked was good or bad w/o a comparison.

Subject: [CH] Better late than never...
Ok,
I finally broke down and bought my fist can of Chipotles in Adobo. I bought the "San
Marcos" brand at our local Piggly Wiggly. I think they had another brand there also, but I
could be wrong. I tried them last night on some left-over pizza, and thought they improved
it enough to make the effort worthwhile.
Now for the question:
Is this a decent brand, or are these inferior to some, many, most others out there?
I never really paid much attention before when these were discussed, since I didn't intend
on ever buying any.
I'll try some more tonight in Saturday's left-over chilli.
