Always a good combination, though I've never made a relish with red onions.  
But the combination of lacy-cut onions, oregano, and orange/lime/lemon 
juices with pork or seafood is one of my favorites - taught to me by my 
sister who moved to Miami FL.  Of course the pepper content is entirely 
variable, and I also enjoy stepping up the garlic.
