Yep, the peppers are coming on strong early this year. I fried up a mixture of hot banana, sweet banana and one lone green bell to have on hamburgers last night. Now, I know there aren't "real" chiles...since they don't make you drop to your knees and gasp (among other things) when you eat them but they had great pepper flavor and enough heat for my moderate tongue at that moment. The plants are heavy with blossoms and now the weather has turned cool...in the low 60s here today after two weeks of sweltering high 90s.
