"Anybody else have early crops this year?"

Here in Illinois/Iowa (the Quad-Cities, for those keeping score at home), I
have cayennes and jalapenos that are ready to be picked. Also, some poblanos
are on the verge of ripeness. Another thing I've noticed is that the plants
themselves are shorter and bushier than normal ... but I don't mind as long
as the pods keep coming.

We finally got a really good rain today, and the temps are supposed to drop
to the high 70s/low 80s for a about a week or so, so maybe that will have an
impact on the plants. Guess I'll have to wait and see.
