We too find that when we travel out of state for any amount of time - and we generally make a pair of two-week trips each year - we start craving chile within a week, and on return the first stop is someplace in Albuquerque like Frontier Restaurant for some green chile stew, fresh, fragrant, and loaded with New Mexico green chile. Oddly enough, though, there is a place in Honolulu (where we go on our twice-yearly travels) on S. King Street called "Chile in Hawai`i" where they say they have Hatch chile. We have yet to go there, though, and we expect the prices to be steep.
