The little yellow chile that Del Monte packs are called cascabella peppers; 
not at all to be confused with cascabel if you go looking for seed. I don't 
see them much here in No Cal, but they are a staple of the taco trucks in So 
Cal. Sorry if I sent a blank reply - fat fingers!

Thanks, that's just what I was looking for. I think I'll grow some and try 
to pickle them just for fun. I've eaten a lot of the little yellow buggers 
over the years but it never ocurred to me to wonder about the chile variety 
until now.
