We took off to get out of the worst weather on January 20th and ended up purchasing a home about 12 miles north of Las Cruces New Mexico just off the road to Hatch (self proclaimed) Chile Capital of the World. Can't wait to go the Hatch Chile Festival on Labor Day weekend. The house is on the Rio Grande River which you could walk across without getting wet when we were there and has enough land to support a pecan orchard and a decent sized chile patch. We'll have to order plants from Susan because we won't be moving till June and they're direct sowing in the Mesilla Valley as we speak. The seed biz will continue and I've already made contact with one chile farmer a couple of miles south who gave me a bottle of his family's salsa, invited us for a beer and has a U-pick area and two roasters going during the harvest season. The seed biz will continue and we'll be closer to one of our sources and the Chile Pepper Institute at New Mexico State University. Will continue to root for the Nevada Wolfpack through this month's madness, but next year will be rooting for the AGGIES! Dave TLCC
