As we're preparing to move to New Mexico after 12 years in this house,
we're sorting through stuff and getting rid of it. Celeste heard about a
group called Freecycle.org. They have sites on yahoo for local groups to
give things to each other and keep them out of the landfills. You may
have one in your area and before you trash something may be able to find
someone who wants it. I've given away file cabinets, gates, fencing and
lots of other stuff. Still trying to get rid of a camper top, IBM
Selectric II typewriter (Remember those?) and some tire chains. Lots of
people in need out there.
