Started giving the plants a good pruning today. They are not at all root-bound so will not have to put in larger pots for several weeks yet. http://www.fototime.com/D2E1C8FD227CC91/orig.jpg http://www.fototime.com/DAA21D7A5FC2797/orig.jpg Will make my dehydrator happy! Herbs should be dehydrated at 95° F according to my manual, but because of high humidity here in Misery I have to dry at 125° minimum in the summer. It takes a ton of MO leaves to amount to anything when dried. I include the blossoms when I strip the leaves from stem to dehydrate. Weather radio day here in KC area again. So far this year have narrowly escaped tornados, large hail and really high winds. Knock on wood! A couple handfuls True Jamaican Scotch Bonnets ready to be picked in the pepper patch. A couple of datil too. July '08 issue of "Chile Pepper" mag has a dry jerk seasoning recipe featuring Scotch Bonnets & allspice. Life is good! jt
