Good Evening! I've been reading all the comments
about the list. I have been a member since 1997,
and generally I've had no problem (besides the
subscription process at one point when I changed
computers). I am perfectly happy with the list
as it is. I sub to the digest version.
Everything that I send is always in the next
digest. Here's a snip of the discussion:

<< I get copies of everything posted, including by myself. I am not aware of
ever having known of nor performed any configuration option to affect this.
Since I don't want to change this behavior, of course I won't search for
any such option.

Well, I used to have a Majordomo list for my
Planet X discussions. You can configure it
either to send replies to the sender or to the
list as a whole, but you cannot configure it to
not send your own posting back to you either as a
separate post or in the digest. So I don't know
what the problem was with the person having this
trouble. I liked Majordomo okay, but the
configuration process is quite complicated for
someone who is not used to the process. Now I
have a Google Group, after having had a Yahoo
Group. Both of these are free lists and much
easier to set the preferences than is a Majordomo
list. I had to pay $10 a month for my Majordomo
list. I don't know whether Moderator Mike is
paying for this CH List, but if he wants to, that
is his choice, of course.

Rarely do I ever post anything here, but in case
I want to, it is there to allow me to have my
say, send a recipe, or whatever. Personally I
see no reason to change a thing, in terms of
"how" the list works. On the other hand, with a
Google or Yahoo Group, one can send posts in RTF
(rich text format) and attach photos. Just my
two cents. Carry On & Buon Appetito! Roberto
