Ok, first, news from my pepper garden. As I mentioned before, I spread out the pots a lot more this year (first time I had the room to do so), and the plants are considerably larger (even moreso than I expected they'd be). Ok, I already said all that...but here's the news: I just picked a bunch of cayennes (no ripe habs, of course---too early, but lots of green ones). A few of the cayennes (most not ready to pick, one sitting in the kitchen now) are absolutely HUGE. We're talking cayennes as big (diameter) as a smallish jalapeno or a decent-sized serrano. Strange.... Also, a bug question. I noticed, hanging out on one of the cayenne plants, some funky bugs. They're shaped like ants, but the color is different---they're orange with a reddish tint. I've never seen any like that before. Does anyone know what those are?
