I want to send this recipe to a vegan friend.

Sure, go for it--it's not my own, just something I ran across online
and tinkered with a bit.  It's gooooood.  And if you want to make it 
even gooder,
ad a _very small_ amount of the sauce from a can of chipotles in adobo.
Half a teaspoon, maybe.
