I have a BBQ Sauce recipe from a friend and I'm trying to decide on if I should rework it or not. Also thought that others might like it as well. Apple Butter BBQ Sauce (All Measurements are to taste) 1 jar good quality Apple Butter Thin down with some Apple Cider Vinager Enough prepared Mustard to cut the sweetness a bit A little Salt About half a handfull of fresh black pepper (should be a little hot) A little each of onion and garlic powder Simmer on low till almost as think as you want it, best made night before. My thinking was to toss in a mixture of peppers mainly some chipotle for smoke and a little de arbol for some brightness then a few milder peppers to round out. Was thinking it would be better on the milder side as well as have a full mouth burn instead of just a hit on one part of the mouth like most chiles give. Was also going to do the onions and garlic from fresh. Any Ideas? Thanks Y'all, James P.
