You are correct, Chet. Adrak is ginger, and lasun is garlic. I am not sure
if there is a specific masala with strict adherences that Assembly's recipe
has in mind, but perhaps just a simple masala made from the 2 ingredients. I
am guessing this may be the case because the recipe in question already
calls for the classic Indian spice mixture known as garam masala.
