[CH] Powder & Questions

First I want to thank everyone for answering my questions about
dehydrating. I dryad some Habs, and some Fresno's yesterday. Some I
powdered, and some I left dryad. I also bought some dryad New Mexico
(hot), Ancho, and Chppotle's, and powdered about half of each. The
American Harvester worked fine. Thanks again
Now, for more "Newbie" questions. I have a recipe for making my own
Chile Powder, but it calls for using red chili pepper. There are a lot
of red chili's, just what are they talking about? I'm a guy who is just
learning this cooking stuff. Also besides learning about chilies, I am
_way_ new about gardening. This list is great, and I am getting a lot
out of it, and having a lot of fun. Is there a list like this, that
deals with gardening in general? Besides being new I live in the
desert, along the Colorado River, and have to fight high heat, and
strong dry wind.
