Hello Chile Heads,
I'm sure that neither of them have heard of me although I've been on
the list since the spring of 1994. Like a lot of list participants, I
don't post often. However, most lurkers will fly off an impassioned
email when they strongly care about an issue.
Frankly, the list used to be funnier and more fun when the wits and
flamers used rapiers instead of broad swords! Mean spirited posts
appear to have driven away quite a number of people.
Do we truly believe that we can fire off email statements that can be
construed as libel and slander with impunity or without consequences???
I admit that some of the flame wars were funny and all of us got a big
laugh when someone was zingged big time. Now it's just mean, nothing
funny. I get to a point where I just trashcan certain people's emails
because why waste my time, energy or emotions on garbage.
