We are friends with an older (early 70s) Norwegian/American couple.  He
the Norwegian) will gladly eat anything I can concoct, she has a lower
tolerance.  Granted, four of their kids were born in Thailand (and they
still spend several months there each year).

My wife's father was also from Norway, and she likes my cooking as well (we
wouldn't have gotten married otherwise).
