I dried my habs for a couple days, finished them in the oven and
powdered them in a coffee grinder after they cooled. They were very dry,
and it worked just fine.
And when I was done, I used a piece of white bread to clean the grinder.
That worked just fine too, and gave me some spicy bread crumbs as a
bonus. I think I'll have to use them to make fried oysters in the very
near future....
