Sue, sad to say, you've hit the nail on the head. I will not be renewing
in 2000 either.
Regarging someone's earlier suggestion that Dave DeWitt start another
magazine, he did not own Chile Pepper before it was sold, but the ownership
evidently allowed him a great deal of creativity and editorial freedom. It
is likely that he had to sign a non- compete agreement and may be unable to
even consider starting a new mag (an expensive venture anyway).
