You should see my California shipping permit: it looks like a small
telephone book. If not for the fact that I am absolutely finicky about how
I run my greenhouses, I would never be able to meet all the requirements,
especially as an organic grower. I completely understand the reasons
behind the restrictions though. I won't let anyone but the inspector
inside my germination greenhouse. I've adopted the phrase "breaking
quarantine" from one of the greenhouse researchers that visited me this
winter. They even make people suit up and go through foot baths between
their greenhouses.
