I have picked a few peppers this week too. I think it is the same one as you
Linda. It has previously been called 'Super Chili' but this year it is
'Chili Red' but I am thinking it is the same as your 'Hot Chili'. It is
about 2 inches long and thin but has a smooth skin like a jalapeno. It does
make a great pepper jelly I can vouch for that. I have about 10 varieties
out in the garden now including Hot Portugal, Caribbean Red Hot, Habanero,
Spanish Spice, Long Red Slim, Pimento, Chocoalte Beauty and some Bell
Pepper.
